Crews must comprise up to 10 paddlers plus a drummer – squads may be larger (max 15 persons). Crews can be mixed, all female or all male and companies may enter more than one crew. The minimum age is 16 and no previous experience of dragon boat racing is required. All crew members must be able to swim in light clothing and in moving water and compete entirely at their own risk. Qualified helms, buoyancy aids and water safety cover are provided.

Gable Events is an approved operator of the British Dragon Boat Racing Association (BDA) and the Challenge will hold a BDA Race Permit. All crews accepted for entry must abide with the Competition Rules and entry conditions shown on this form. Each crew is guaranteed a minimum of 3 races (subject to conditions).

Standard crew - £1,090 + vat (includes £200 CRASH donation)CRASH Premier crew - £1,290 + vat (includes standard entry, £400 CRASH donation and acknowledgment on the Challenge website, crew managers pack, souvenir programme and results board)

CRASH Platinum crew - £2,090 + vat (includes standard entry, £600 CRASH donation, company name and/or logo on each side of one of the dragon boats, half page advert in the colour souvenir programme, team photograph and acknowledgment on the Challenge website, crew managers pack, souvenir programme, results board and commentary)

The highest placed Platinum or Premier crew also receives a magnum of champagne courtesy of CRASH.

In addition to monies donated to CRASH through the entry fees, you can help CRASH further and raise additional sponsorship as a team. You can do this either by using the official sponsorship form provided, or you can create your own fundraising page online via www.justgiving.com/crash/raisemoney.

The crew that raises the most additional sponsorship for CRASH will win not only the CRASH trophy, but a sumptuous Chinese meal for the entire crew. In Manchester this will be courtesy of the Yang Sing restaurant (www.yang-sing.com) and in London, Cardiff and Rotherham, the meal is kindly being sponsored by Encon Insulation Ltd and Nevill Long.

Please note: All forms with evidence of sponsorship money raised must be handed to the CRASH representatives BEFORE the crew races.

In London, private rooms of various sizes and all with panoramic views of the race course are available for hire with the option of private bar and catering. In Manchester one private room is available.

Small marquees (3m x 3m units) with chairs are available for crews to hire.
